 HELP WANTED/EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE TOWN OF LIMESTONE:

                                                            

   CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER-LOCAL PLUMBING INSPECTOR WANTED

The Town of Limestone is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Code Enforcement Officer and Local Plumbing Inspector (LPI).  These are position defined in State law for municipalities and require State certification in the two areas of expertise.  Experience and certification as a Code Enforcement Officer and/or LPI in Maine and/or one with building trades, surveying, engineering/design, plumbing/septic, or related experience, preferred.  Ability to pass all of the State tests and requirements required within the given time frame of State requirements.  This will be either a part-time, call-in/as-needed, or contracted position.   A Cover letter, resume, and at least three work-related references can be submitted via postal mail, email, or dropped off in person at/to:  Town Manager, Limestone Town Office Building, 93 Main Street, Limestone, ME  04750; This email address is being protected from spambots.                                         Economic/Chamber Coordinator

The Limestone Development Foundation & Limestone Chamber is seeking a well rounded, dependable, enthusiastic person to become our Economic/Chamber Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to help the two organizations in facilitating, promoting, and ensuring community and economic development. Position offers a 25 flex-hour work week. Pay will be based on experience. Year round position.

PLEASE NOTE:  THE TOWN HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT AT THIS MEETING THERE WILL BE A VOTE ON WHETHER TO GO AHEAD WITH THE DISCUSSED MOVING OF ALL LIMESTONE COMMUNITY SCHOOL CLASSES TO CARIBOU.

The Future of Limestone Community School (LCS) High School (Grades 9-12).  How to proceed in light of RSU 39 impending decision on April 5, 2017, to end the High School curriculum at LCS. 

 

2)  Next Regular Tuesday Meeting April 4th,  2017, 6:30 PM.

(PLEASE NOTE THE FIRST MEETING OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL WILL BE ON A TUESDAY, NOT WEDNESDAY AS USUAL.  THIS IS TO ALLOW THE PUBLIC AND BOARD MEMBERS TO ATTEND THE RSU 39 SCHOOL BOARD MEETING ON WEDNESDAY APRIL 5TH, AT WHICH THE SCHOOL BOARD IS TO MAKE ITS FINAL DECISION ON WHETHER TO END ALL HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES IN LIMESTONE (AT LCS).
