Recreation Summer Programs and Activities 2018


Albert Michaud Memorial Park Facilities are located just north of the center of town and include a fully quipped Children's playground area. There is a large gazebo with 6 picnic tables and access to outdoor grilling that can be reserved for birthday parties or an afternoon barbecue.

The park extends to include a Baseball field and Softball field equipped with two state of the art sheltered dugouts from inclement weather home to the Limestone Community School middle level baseball/softball and Varsity Softball teams. This includes a concession Stand Area equipped with running water and two bathrooms, available for use during games or for parties.

The facilities also include 2 tennis courts that are perfect for that singles or doubles game and outdoor basketball courts with chain link nets.

The Community Pond provides a number of outdoor recreational activities which include canoeing and fishing. Stocked each year.


The Limestone Recreation Center is located in the Limestone Community School. It is a multi-purpose room complete with supervised hours with a pool table, bumper pool table, air hockey, foos ball, table tennis, and arcade style basketball hoop. There is access to internet via computers, perfect for any gamer. Two big screen televisions for Wii play and/or movies. The Recreation Center time varies by season.

FROM CARIBOU (Access Highway):

Take Access Highway into Limestone. Turn Right stop sign by Mike’s Family Market. Continue up the hill and take a Right onto FFA Avenue. LCS school building is at the top of the hill.  Bear Right around the building.  The recreation center is located in the back of the building next to the greenhouse.


Take Route 1A into Limestone. After St. Louis Catholic Church, Turn Left onto FFA Avenue. LCS school building is at the top of the hill.Bear Right around the building.  The recreation center is located in the back of the building next to the greenhouse.


The Town of Limestone departments maintain the campground seasonally. Conveniently located 2.5 miles from downtown Limestone offering 34 beautiful RV sites with full hook ups and 10 gorgeous Tent sites. The Campground opens Memorial Day Weekend for daily, weekly, monthly, or seasonal campers! Accommodations include: Beautiful sunset and sunrise location, covered picnic shelters, children's playground, 3 miles of nature trails, public boat landing, hot showers, restrooms, washer & dryer, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, golf cart trail access, excellent well water (Based on Yearly Quality Tests), a dump station, and the official location of the Limestone Greater Chamber of Commerce Annual July 4th Festivities. Visit Trafton Lake Campground page



The Limestone Ski Club maintains and grooms trails with set tracks for skate or classic ski. Ski Sessions are offered during our Winter Season through the Recreation Department Bio Ski Club. Trails can begin at Trafton Lake and finish at Limestone Community School or vice versa.

The Limestone Recreation Department works closely with the Limestone Snowhawks through the winter season. Through the municipal grant, trails are maintained to connect Limestone to Caribou, Fort Fairfield, and Van Buren. Snowhawk members expertly mark the trails throughout the winter months and repair bridges to ensure a safe ride. There is a rest area provided at the clubhouse located next to the Community Pond. The clubhouse is open twice a month during meetings at 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
